Big Three bidding for 20th TV ensemble laffer

The broadcast nets' appetite for hot comedy prospects shows no sign of slowing down, even after a busy few weeks of developing shopping.ABC, CBS and NBC are in the midst of spirited bidding for an ensemble comedy from scribe Tom Gormican and 20th Century Fox TV and 3 Arts TV. Jake Kasdan is also attached to the project as an exec producer and director. Howard Klein and Oly Obst of 3 Arts will also exec produce with Gormican."On the Verge of Greatness" is described as a single-camera an ensembler of revolving around a group of twenty-something friends.Project was pitched on Tuesday to the Big Four nets. Fox took a pass but the other three nets are ready to pounce, setting the stage for the project to land a big commitment.Gormican at present is also fielding a handful of feature scripts and is a co-producer on Relativity's upcoming Farrelly brothers feature set to bow in April.Gormican is repped by WME and 3 Arts.
